Thomas Young is well-rounded young man who represents Saint Joe’s well in the classroom, on the court, and in the community. Currently, Tom serves as the senior class president. Tom has enhanced his skills and knowledge by participating in a plethora of clubs, such as Peer Mentoring, Physics Club and Medical Club, just to name a few. He has been a member of the varsity volleyball team since sophomore year, and has been selected to the all division and conference teams last season. He also plays for a very successful volleyball club team in the off season. Tom is has additionally demonstrated a passion for volunteering. He has been a member of Campus Ministry for two years and is also a member of Justiceworx, a non-profit organization that builds homes for the less fortunate. In 10th grade, Tom traveled to West Virginia to build a home for a family in need. If that wasn’t enough, Tom also volunteers his time at his parish, and as a member of the Samaritan Homeless interim program, which assists families who are in desperate need of emergency housing and associated services. For his dedication to his classmates, his team, and those in need, we are so proud to recognize Thomas Young as our Student of the Month.
