Academic Areas
All students must successfully complete at least two consecutive years of a world or classical language. World Language classes, level III or higher, are primarily taught in the target language.  Students who wish to study two languages simultaneously must maintain a "B" average or higher in their current language studies. All language courses will focus on the three modes of communication (interpretive, interpersonal, presentational) as defined by Standards for Foreign Language Learning in the 21st Century. Students will learn to use these modes of communication at the intermediate level as described in the ACTFL Performance Guidelines for K-12 learners.
