The Theology Department provides opportunities for students to increase their understanding of the Roman Catholic faith spiritually, intellectually, and affectively. In addition, it encourages students to put their faith into action within the SJHS community and the greater community. The Department also inspires students to respect the religious beliefs of others. In the spirit of ecumenism promulgated by the Church at Vatican II, a hallmark of our age, the curriculum remains faithful to both Roman Catholic heritage and the heritage of the Brothers of the Sacred Heart. Furthermore, it encourages dialogue and understanding among students.
