The Computer Science and Applied Technology Department offers several courses that prepare students for college work and for technology use in their personal and professional lives. Courses range from introductory level which includes all aspects of technology; knowledge of the workings of hardware and software programs, privacy, security, and copyright issues, to an intermediate level including graphic design, animation, and coding, and two AP courses. In addition, a co-curricular course in Robotics provides students with the opportunity to participate in a national sponsored FIRST program while using teamwork to solve real world problems. Students may also qualify for the National Technological Honor Society.
