SAT/ACT Test Preparation

Schedule and Cost



The course is comprised of 12 - two hour sessions and is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  A full program consists of 24 hours (2 hours of overview and strategies, 10 hours of mathematics, 10 hours of evidence based reading and writing, and 2 hours of essay writing)


The cost for a full program is $600 and is billed through your son's school FACTS account.


SAT/ACT Overview and Strategies:  This two hour session will provide an overview of the SAT and ACT tests. Students will become acquainted with the format of both tests and will learn strategies that will work for both tests. Students will also work on sample questions of both the SAT and the ACT, in order to help them determine if there is a test that better suits their abilities.


Mathematics, Reading, and Writing Classes:  Each two hour class reviews topics from either mathematics, reading, or writing and teaches strategies for score improvement in these areas on both the SAT and ACT tests.


Writing the Essay:   This two hour session will prepare students for the optional Essay component of both the SAT and the ACT.

Writing the Essay:                                       Wednesday March 11.

Overview and Strategy:                               Wednesday January 29. 

  

Mathematics:                                               Tuesdays  (Feb 4, 11, 25. March 3, 10).

 

Evidence Based Reading & Writing            Thursdays (Jan 30, Feb 6, 13, 27, March 5).

 

Writing the Essay:                                       Friday March  13.
