The Math League is an organization that participates in mathematics competitions against other high schools. Saint Joe's sponsors both a JV and Varsity team.
The teams enter four contests against other Catholic schools in both New York and New Jersey through the Catholic High School Math League. They enter six contests through the NJ High School Math League.
The Varsity Math League is consistently a top finisher in the Catholic HS Math League.
Every contest has questions from different areas of mathematics. The goal is to encourage interest in mathematics through worthwhile problem solving. Many students first develop an interest in mathematics through problem-solving activities such as these contests.
The Math League is open to all students. The teams meet on Thursdays after school.
