Science League Club
The Science Club offers students the opportunity to explore their interests in science and its related careers. As part of the Science Club, members are encouraged to participate in the NJ Science League. This organization has been holding academic science competitions for the last 40 years. Of the 150 high schools participating in the competitions, Saint Joseph High School is one of only 10 Catholic high schools in the League.

Practice tests are given prior to the competitions beginning in January in order to establish the team members for each area and level. All students who participate in at least three of the competitions are awarded a certificate of achievement. Top scorers may win scholarship prizes and plaques.

The Science Club, which is open to all students, meets twice a month after school for discussions, lectures, films or occasional guest speakers.
