Saint Joseph High School provides academic courses that meet the requirements for graduation and prepare students for college.
SJHS provides honor courses that enable students to proceed at an accelerated pace. Enrollment is dependent on the SJHS Entrance Test and current grades, and at the discretion of the academic department and the Guidance Department. Honor Courses receive greater weighting in student's grade point average.
Advanced Placement Courses
SJHS participates in the Advanced Placement Program offered by the College Board. These courses afford the students the opportunity to earn college credits for prescribed courses while at SJHS. Students enrolled in these courses are required to take the Advanced Placement Examination. Exam scores will be provided to the students and may be sent to colleges or universities. The college or university reserves the right to accept the score for college credit. A monetary fee is required and payable upon enrollment. Enrollment is dependent upon current grades and at the discretion of the academic department and the Guidance Department. Advanced Placement courses receive greater weighting in student's grade point average.
